About the role

The highly motivated and energetic Training & Business Development Associate will be working with our Corporate Strategies team to prospect for small-to-medium businesses that have a strong commitment to improving their sales culture, productivity, and leadership. In particular, the individual will provide an overview of our distinctive, non-traditional selling system and highly effectively sales training methodology to help our clients break the cycle of excuses and self-sabotaging beliefs.


Being a Sandler Training Business Development Associate

Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Training & Business Development Associate will be expected to consistently exceed sales goals in a fast-paced, performance-driven work environment. The ideal person will be able to thrive and grow through networking, referrals, and strategic outreach activities.

What You’ll Do as a Sandler Training Business Development Associate

  • Drive sales growth through effective lead generation and prospecting techniques

  • Evaluate prospect companies’ sales needs and actively suggest appropriate Sandler service packages

  • Follow the Sandler Sales Training Process to Prospect, Contact, Engage, and Close business

  • Set personal work goals to execute all major prospecting methodologies

  • Build strong prospect pipeline within 6 months of starting with Sandler

  • Facilitate weekly group training sessions within 6 months of starting with Sandler

  • Support company activities to close new business within 6 months of starting with Sandler

  • Coordinate implementation tasks to help clients setup their Sandler Sales Training Programs

  • Attend weekly networking events to represent Sandler and build relationships for lead generation

What You’ll Bring as a Sandler Training Business Development Associate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Marketing, Sales, Adult Education, or Business Development

  • Minimum of 3 years sales experience within a services consulting environment

  • Track record engaging C-Suite executives and closing sales with mid-market clientele

  • Ability to build deep relationships with prospects and clients to sell high-ticket programs

  • Demonstrated systematic understanding of the sales cycle and supporting work processes

  • Strong business connections in the Chicagoland area

  • Exposure to Sandler Training programs is preferred
