Account Executive – Freight Sales
About the role
The Sales Account Executive is responsible for acquiring new business prospects and customers and thereafter effectively maintaining their customer relationships, soliciting ongoing business with them, and catering to their specific needs.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prospect and conduct outbound phone calls to businesses and new clients for the purposes of offering freight transportation services in accordance with company sales activity goals and expectations
Qualifying prospects and determining whether the contacts are in fact the person to speak to and whether the business yields the potential for future business.
Maintaining active contact with existing clients and through questions and discussions, determine whether there are any business opportunities that Rome is not currently engaged with the client.
Maintaining continuous contact with existing customers through e-mails and telephone calls to solicit ongoing business, build strong relationships and update them on the status of any orders
Ensure that customer expectations are met, that issues are resolved effectively and in a timely manner and be proactive to the needs and requirements of customers
Collect all relevant paperwork and information required to have the client set-up with the company.
