About Medisas

Medisas is bringing hospitals to the cloud, driven by a mission to improve patient care using great technology. Our product helps improve the handoff process in hospitals which is responsible for 80% of all serious medical errors and kills up to 350,000 people every year. Right now, this process happens primarily on scraps of paper or Word documents. Our communication and collaboration platform puts the doctors and nurses on the same page to efficiently provide better patient care.

We are a highly selective, close-knit team based in SoMa, SF. Medisas is backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Y Combinator, SV Angel, and a number of prominent angels. Our team comes from top academic medical institutions, technology leaders such as Google, Cisco, and IBM, and Fortune 500 healthcare companies such as Johnson & Johnson, Roche, Medtronic, and Bayer.

Role

Medisas is looking for a Director of Sales to help to build a phenomenal sales organization from the ground up to drive product adoption and revenue growth. The Director of Sales will report directly to the CEO and will be based in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Identify key business opportunities for strategic and customer development

  • Lead in each step of the sales cycle, with a keen interest in optimizing the sales process from lead generation to deal close

  • Establish ongoing relationships with key stakeholders and strategic partners

  • Build out sales team, including recruiting, training, and coaching of sales reps (inside & field sales)

  • Define metrics to measure and monitor sales team performance to meet and exceed sales goals and quotas

  • Work closely with rest of business team to drive business growth and market awareness, including supporting marketing and customer success initiatives

Desired experiences and skills

  • Interest in building relationships, managing and coordinating among multiple stakeholders

  • Experience navigating complex B2B sales cycles. Ability to effectively interact and negotiate with C-Level hospital executives. Hospital or enterprise sales experience a plus

  • Understanding of hospital workflows. Experience in a clinical setting a plus

  • Strong communication and analytical skills. Solid business intuition, data-driven

  • Experience and knowledge of sales best practices (sales reporting, forecasting, setting compensation and quotas, etc.)

  • Hunger for seeking out deals and closing contracts. Passionate desire to effect large change at hospitals

  • Highly motivated and resourceful, comfortable with fluid work environments. Startup experience helpful

  • Open to significant travel
