As part of the technical sales team this role is responsible for developing, maintaining and growing client relationships and ensuring customers fully understand the benefits of either SolidWorks or Zuken E3 and other solutions that the company offers.


  • Responsible for direct sales to potential clients in an assigned territory
  • Initiate sales activities to stimulate, encourage, establish and develop account relationships for products and services
  • Provide territory management data: forecasts, account management documentation, and activity reports to management providing the basis for sales planning
  • Identify, evaluate and respond to key business issues of the account and develop, present and demonstrate the software and the company’s capabilities to the potential customer
  • Introduce and integrate our technical team and resources as well as SolidWorks or Zuken resources to the customer to demonstrate capability, educate customer personnel and facilitate project management
  • Develop, deliver and lead implementation of professional technology proposals


  • 3 – 5 years of experience in Technology Solutions / Software Sales
  • BS Electrical / Mechanical / or Manufacturing Engineering preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the mechanical/electrical industry preferred
  • Consistent track record of successful sales shown by over goal performance of selling software technical solutions
  • Demonstrable professional sales skills and references, preferably business to business
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Effective time management and organizational abilities
  • Experience selling products competitive to SolidWorks or Zuken E3 an asset
  • Ability to function in a team atmosphere
  • Experience with CAD preferred
  • Have a "make-it-happen" attitude and appreciation for aggressive sales goals
  • Possess superior communication skills
  • Experience with a CRM system, preferably NetSuite 
  • Must have reliable means of transportation
