Sales Development Representative (SDR)
About the role
Reporting to the VP of Sales, Sales Development Reps are responsible for successfully qualifying large volumes of marketing generated leads in a defined territory and passing sales qualified opportunities to Account Executives.
Location: Toronto or Boston
Key responsibilities for this role include:
Utilizing a consistent contact attempt process via phone and email to follow-up, nurture and qualify leads generated by marketing campaigns, making an average of 50-80 calls a day.
Prospecting, educating and qualifying leads to create an average of 3 opportunities per week.
Successfully managing and overcoming prospect objections.
Consistently using Salesforce.com to document prospect interaction to ensure efficient lead management.
Working closely with Sales & Marketing to conduct periodic proactive outbound calling campaigns to penetrate target accounts.
Desired experience and skills:
1-2+ years of phone sales experience
Experience selling Software as a Service (SAAS) technologies a plus
Previous experience in a startup company is a bonus
Experience using saleforce.com
Intellectually curious and emotionally intelligent
