About the role
Who we are
Haugen Software is an earlystage maritime logistics software company breaking into a high
growth, multibillion dollar market.
Our first product, Haugen Voyager, is a workflow and analytics tool for handling a specific
process in freight and commodities transaction settlement.
We have initial traction with a growing number of early customers, and have received great
reviews from companies ranging from small trading firms to Fortune 50 oil majors.

Your goal will be to identify, engage, and close prospects who will be excited to use our
This is primarily an inside sales role, in terms of daytoday activity, with occasional inperson
But, we’re a small, crossfunctional team, and you’ll have the opportunity to make a serious
impact on other areas of the business.

You’ll take the lead on projects like these according to your interest and ability.
Responsibilities as a sales representative
● Identify and engage key decision makers within target companies – individual
contributors, department heads, executives, and IT staff.
● Contact and educate leads via email and phone. Demo products via video chat and
screen sharing. Close sales opportunities.
● Work with new users to guide them through the onboarding process and ensure
continued success with the product.
● Meet with prospective clients and existing accounts locally in Houston. Attend networking
events. Occasional domestic and international travel (12 weeks / year).
