About the role

Franesse has been a key supplier to the Canadian Supermarket industry since 1947. Under new management since 2005 the company has grown significantly and now offers an even wider range of product. The company has decided to extend its business beyond the Canadian border and expand into a number of U.S. markets. 

The company is currently seeking an experienced industry professional to coordinate the sales effort in a specific territory within the U.S. The candidate will be responsible for managing the sales strategy/effort within the territory.

PRODUCT LINES

Franesse has a stainless steel manufacturing facility based in Montreal. We are currently manufacturing new lines of Fish Tables, Hot and Cold Buffet, SoupWarmers and Chicken Warmers. Franesse is also the exclusive licensee for the Dadaux line of Meat/Food processing equipment for Supermarkets, Butchers and Production Facilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Development, initiation and implementation of a comprehensive sales plan for large retail chains, smaller chains and individual supermarkets and butchers.

Identify opportunities for new product offerings based on the manufacturing capabilities.

Provide marketplace feedback about existing products, new products and competition.

The candidate will be reporting to the President and will be required to use Salesforce extensively, supplemented by verbal reporting.

The candidate will be required to travel to Montreal 2-3 times a year for product knowledge and training.

QUALIFICATIONS

 A minimum of three years of Supermarket sales experience. Prior contact with equipment purchasing departments is required.

Highly motivated self-starter capable of delivering strong sales results with little supervision.

Strong communication skills for professional delivery of presentations.

Ability to perceive market trends in a timely manner and translate into sales opportunities.
