Role

Clarity Solution Group is seeking a solution-focused sales professional responsible for representing our Life Sciences Practice, and driving the sales cycle for new Data & Analytic consulting opportunities within existing and prospective clients. The individual will be responsible for identifying and contacting prospective clients, identifying opportunities for project based services, and presenting Clarity’s portfolio of solutions and related services. The Consulting Sales Executive will also participate in strategic account planning sessions, territory reviews, and deal specific account strategy calls to identify how Clarity can increase our competitive position by being a differentiator in the sales cycle. Once deals are qualified, the Consulting Sales Executive will work with the Clarity practice leader, delivery consultants and executives to submit proposals for projects, participate in information discovery sessions with clients, conduct scope definition exercises related to the proposed implementation, including phasing, staffing, overall pricing and facilitating the process to close deals including final negotiation.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years of proven experience selling solutions to Life Sciences clients (Pharmaceuticals, Biotech, Medical Devices) in the Northeast
  • Basic understanding of Analytics (Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse/Advanced Analytics) solutions is strongly preferred
  • Strong business analysis, solution crafting, interaction management, and presentation skills and the ability to interact with client C-level executives
  • Should have an in depth knowledge of selling strategies, development of proposals, contracts, close plans and statements of work for professional services
  • Should have the “hunter” mentality and the ability to network and build their book of business from existing relationships
  • Motivated by exceeding annual quotas and demonstrated success in exceeding goals
  • Ability to develop executive level relationships
  • Collaborative approach to selling solutions
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills required
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in order to liaise between the user community, executive sponsors, and the Clarity team

Required Skills

  • 2+ years of prior sales experience (inside sales, agency recruiting/sourcing or business development experience)
  • Basic understanding of Analytics (Business Intelligence, Data Warehouse/Advanced Analytics) solutions is strongly preferred
  • Possess industry knowledge in one of the following industries: Healthcare, Life Sciences, Retail, Communication, Media or Entertainment
  • Strong business analysis, solution crafting, interaction management, and presentation skills and the ability to interact with client C-level executives
  • Should have an in depth knowledge of selling strategies, development of proposals, contracts, close plans and statements of work for professional services
  • Loves the thrill of the hunt and is an expert networker. Demonstrates a repeatable process for opening new doors and scheduling meetings
  • Highly motivated by exceeding annual quotas and demonstrated success in exceeding goals
  • Ability to develop client level relationships in both the IT and business communities
  • Collaborative approach to selling solutions
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills required
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills in order to liaise between the user community, executive sponsors, and the Clarity team
