Software Sales Representative
About the role
- 4 year degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years successful outside sales experience selling software solutions to Automotive Retailers.
- Knowledge of DMS (Dealer Management Solutions), finance/insurance, or other technologies used in the automotive industry strongly preferred.
- Extensive experience prospecting, cold-calling, and generating leads required.
- Prior experience managing and maintaining customer records in a CRM system
- Able to travel 75% of the time in assigned territory
- Meet or exceed sales goals
- Report on activities through CRM and management requests
- Complete regular territory planning sessions with management
- Complete sales training when required
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the competition, industry knowledge, and trends
- Maintain a good teaming relationship with inside associates as well as inside sales teammates
QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to succeed in a competitive, high-performance work environment
- Be a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively
- Team player with the ability to coordinate efforts with channel sales reps
- Strong computer skills and technical knowledge – i.e. MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Solid interpersonal and communication skills in order to close deals and make presentations
- Ability to present new product concepts to the marketplace
- Ability to formulate sales plans for designated territory, region or specific client portfolio
